Descrizione
Vineyards: wine-growing region: Marche, province of Ancona.
Location: in Montacuto and Varano within the Natural Park, at the foot of Conero Promontory.
Age: various, from 10 to 30 years old.
Soil: soils derive from calcareous marly rocks interspersed with areas of red-brown earth and clay with the presence of stone dating back to the Plio-Pleistocene.

Grape varieties and cultivation: grapes: 100 % Montepulciano. Training system: guyot and double guyot. Planting density: various from 2,500 to 4,500 plants per hectare. Yield per hectare: 60 q of grapes with a pruning system with a reduced load of buds per plant, allowing to concentrate the accumulation of substances processed in a few bunches per vine.

Vinification: harvesting: late ripening grapes are harvested manually, selecting the best bunches, and processed immediately with destemming and soft crushing. Vinification: fermentation takes place in small cement tanks with frequent daily pumping over. Maceration on the skins goes on for many days. Aging: after racking, the wine matures in barriques and small French oak barrels for about 18 months, then it is aged in bottles for at least one year.

Food pairings: fine meat dishes from adult cattle: ribs, T-bone steaks and fillets of Marchigiana Gentile, Chianina and Angus are sublimated with Vigneti del Parco. White truffles from Acqualagna and Alba, great aged cheeses such as Fossa di Talamello and Sogliano complete the list of gastronomic excellences to be indulged in with this precious Riserva.
