Montefalco Rosso symbolises the wine’s strong bond with the Montefalco area; it is produced from Sangiovese grapes and a small percentage of Sagrantino, the highest expression of the typicality that Arnaldo Caprai has always supported.

Classification: D.O.C.

First year of production: 1975

Grapes: 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino, 15% Merlot

Colour: Intense and brilliant ruby red

Aroma: Wild flowers, red fruits and a touch of nutmeg

Taste: In the mouth it enters dry, fresh, right softness in contrast to the tannins

Pairings: Appetizers of cured meats and moderately mature cheeses, succulent first courses and roast meats.

Ageing potential: 6-8 years
